ART (Active Release Techniques):
Active Release Techniques (ART) is
a patented system of soft tissue treatment that is the number ONE choice for
conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, whiplash, back pain, and other muscle,
nerve, and joint conditions. ART is a hands on technique but it is very
different from any type of massage or physical therapy because it involves a
very specific diagnosis and a unique system by which the patient actually moves
their limb or torso through active ranges of motion guided by the doctor while
the doctor is applying the ART treatment. Every ART session is actually a
combination of examination and treatment.

Dr. Tom Zak |
Dr.
Zak is the clinic director of Zak Performance Health in
Westlake, Ohio. He is a graduate of the National University of Health Science's
in Lombard, Il. His professional skills include Active Release Techniques for
the spine, upper and lower extremities, biomechanics certified, diversified
adjusting technique, flexion/distraction, motion palpation, spinal and extra
spinal rehabilitation, nutrition, Sole Supports dynamic orthotics casting, and
physiotherapy.
Dr. Zak has experience working with numerous amateurs, collegiate, professional (NFL, MLB, NBA, PGA), and Olympic caliber athletes; and is currently a medical consultant for the Cleveland Browns. He has also treated Ironman triathletes at the Panama City, Florida triathlon as well as at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Dr. Zak has not limited his scope of expertise to just athletes, he also enjoys helping individuals with non-sports related ailments. Email Dr. Zak
