Back, neck, rib, and TMJ issues
I was in a lot of pain, unable to workout, and spent much time icing and taking Ibuprofen. I had lower middle back and neck issues, rib issues, and TMJ.
I was unable to lift weights which had been part of my routine for many years. I was unable to sit at the computer for long, which I needed to do for my job.
Chiropractic (Traditional), Ice, Ibuprofen, Rest, and Acupuncture.
So, so much better! I can lift weights and workout and sit at the computer. I haven’t had Ibuprofen since I began TX. ART honestly changed my life for the better.
ART did what nothing else did... improved my quality of life by 90%. My Advice? Try it!
I was on the brink of spending thousands of dollars on TMJ TX that “might” work. ART did work for me. I’m back to my regular routine.
Back and ankle injuries
Before Zak I had a history of back and ankle injuries. In less than six months I’d sprained my ankle 5 times.
Being an Irish dancer, my ankle and back injuries affected my performance in practice and in competition.
After my sprained ankles I would use ice to lower swelling. But, for the most part, I had to continue dancing with the pain.
I’m 100% better than I was before Dr. Zak. My ankles are, now, both healed and even stronger than they were previously. As for my back, I come in semi-regularly to maintain a pain-free life.
Trust the advice Dr. Zak gives you. The guy knows what he’s talking about and will get you healthy fast.
Not too good, I had consistent back pains, which effected my athletic performance and daily activities.
I had a hard time running, walking up stairs, and, sometimes, sleeping.
I tried ice, steam, and ultrasound therapy.
I feel great. My Back is feeling better and I have been able to do more physically since I’ve been getting ART therapy.
No Matter how bad you feel when you walk into Dr. Zak’s office you are guaranteed to feel better when you leave.
I was having problems with my IT band which made it difficult for me to engage in physical activity (ie: walking, running, cycling).
My Condition interfered with my ability to meet my goals (ie: running, cycling, triathlon).
I sought out treatment from another professional which treated the symptoms, but not the underlying issue. Subsequently, the symptoms reoccurred.
My symptoms and underlying issues have improved tremendously. As a result, I was able to complete two half marathons, one triathlon, and one marathon.
Dr. Zak is very knowledgeable, and he will develop a treatment plan to meet your goals. Follow his recommendations and your condition will improve.
I am very grateful for the treatment I received from Dr. Zak. My condition has improved that I was able to achieve my goals. I look forward to meeting other goals with Dr. Zak’s help.
Prior to my treatments with Dr. Zak I was in constant discomfort. A sports injury improperly diagnosed and wrongly treated by numerous health professionals left me inactive and limited in my daily exercises.
My Discomfort caused me to be socially withdrawn and depressed. I had to discontinue nearly all participation in sports and exercises.
The doctors continued to treat my injury with medications, injections, and physical therapy. I was not getting better I saw over a dozen different providers in five different specialties.
After a few visits his treatments began to show signs of improvements in my pain. I am now back to exercising, but, more importantly, I have returned to being an active person and am engaged in life once again.
By Chance I was searching for similar cases to mine and came across Active Release Therapy. I phoned Dr. Zak who answered all of my questions and explained how ART actually works.
Thank you, Dr. Zak, for your knowledge and healing techniques.
Right shoulder, arm, and hamstring issues
Uncomfortable with tight hamstrings. Running was compromised. Right shoulder and arm were out of alignment.
Tight hamstrings were uncomfortable while sitting at work. Running was tough because of the lack of range of motion.
Rest, ice, and stretching.
Wonderful! My Range of motion has gotten so much better.
Incorporate his expertise and services into your fitness plan.
Treatments are up to date. Stretches are always part of an appointment.
With being a college athlete and having a herniated disc everyday activities including sports were very hard and painful to do. Dr. Zak helped get me stronger and better in a a way that nobody else could.
My condition caused everyday life to be very painful and challenging to complete.
With my injury, the team doctors and trainers could only do so much. With the help of Dr. Zak I was able to get back on the ice much faster than I would have without him.
I feel very good and am able to return to everyday activities and resume my full ice activities for playing college hockey.
My only advice would be to come to Dr. Zak for anything you need. You will never leave unsatisfied and will always feel 10X better than you did when you came in.
I have been seeing Dr. Zak for a while now and with his help I’ve been able to excel both on and off the ice. The atmosphere is perfect and from my first visit to my latest I have never felt better.
Shin and IT band issues
I had been feeling progressively worse. I remember the last run before I began treatments. My shins were extremely sore. They were painful to the touch and my left IT band was almost as bad. I was running about 50 miles a week and hating every minute of it.
The pain was, pretty much, limited to running. I wasn’t biking or lifting at the time so, running was about all that was affected.
I tried ice, rest, and more Aleve than I’d like to admit to help get rid of the pain. Nothing seemed to give me anything more than temporary relief.
Before treatment I wasn’t sure I could complete a 12 mile run. After four months of treatment I ran a marathon and have been training, pain-free, since then. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Zak and ART has been the primary cause of this turnaround.
My advice in for another runner dealing with chronic pain to see Dr. Zak. That goes for another type of athletes or people who have been living with chronic muscle, joint, or tendon pain in their everyday lives. Active release Therapy is effective and can alleviate a lot of unnecessary pain, especially for athletes.
Dr. Zak is extreamly knowledgable. He is energetic and is only satisfied when his patients experience significant improvements. His mastery over ART techniques made my running both enjoyable and competitive again. I owe most of my running improvements, post-collegiately, to Dr. Zak.
Lower back, left shoulder, and left elbow
Ok, was feeling pain in my lower back, left shoulder, and left elbow.
It was tolerable, but couldn’t achieve my ultimate goals.
Great, would recommend Dr. Zak to others.
Give him a chance, he will make a difference.
In a lot of pain. I was on the edge of getting shoulder surgery.
My shoulder interfered with my workout routines and football. I couldn’t sleep on my stomach because of the shoulder.
I saw some other doctors for their opinions and tried to ice and rest as much as possible.
I feel completely different. I have range of motion and use of my shoulder that injury took away.
Anyone would benefit forming an appointment. You don’t necessarily have to be an athlete because he can treat any of your aches and pains.
Stop trying to manage the pain on your own. Go see Dr. Zak.
Neck and Shoulder Pain
I had neck and shoulder pain, with burning sensation in my scalp, running behind my right ear and extending up to the top of my head.
I was constantly icing my head, so I wasn’t engaged in my daily routine. I stopped golfing and yoga as a result of my neck and shoulder pain.
At first, I went to several orthopedic doctors and a neurologist, but no one could pinpoint my condition. I was using ice packs and patches to relieve the pain and burning along with a heating pad and hot showers. Nothing seemed to work.
After only four visits to Dr. Zak the pain in my shoulder and neck is very minimal and the burning in my head is down to once or twice a week in occurrence. And, I’m back to golfing!
I wish I had been recommended to Dr. Thomas Zak sooner! After months of visiting doctors and home remedies, I would have been much further along in the healing process had I gone to see him sooner. If you have pain issues that keep you from enjoying your life, do not hesitate to call and make an appointment with Dr. Thomas Zak!
I was impressed with all of the information Dr. Zak shared with me in regards to my condition, showing me where and why I was experiencing pain and burning. Just knowing why and how he can try to relieve my pain was assuring and calming.
